These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of JanBid, a proposal and bidding tool for cleaning companies, operated by JanBid ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using JanBid, you agree to these Terms.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account per business; you may not share credentials across companies.
JanBid lets you build cleaning proposals, calculate pricing, send proposals as secure links, and manage related tools depending on your plan. Plan features and limits are described on our pricing page and enforced by the service. We may improve, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice for material changes to paid plans.
The JanBid pricing calculator produces estimates based on default production rates, your inputs, and your settings. Defaults are generic industry figures and are fully editable. JanBid does not guarantee that any calculated price is accurate, profitable, competitive, or suitable for any specific job. You are solely responsible for the prices you bid and the contracts you sign. JanBid is a tool, not a pricing authority and not business, legal, or financial advice.
You own your content: your proposals, client information, rates, logos, and settings ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Customer Data solely to provide the service to you.
Non-compete data commitment: JanBid is built by people who also operate cleaning businesses. We will never use your Customer Data — your bids, your rates, your clients, or your pipeline — to compete against you, to inform any cleaning business we operate, or to advantage any other customer. Your bid data is used to serve your account, period. Aggregated, anonymized statistics that cannot identify any customer or bid (for example, overall feature usage) may be used to improve the product.
You may not use JanBid to send spam or unlawful communications, to infringe others' rights, to upload malicious code, to attempt to access other customers' data, or to resell the service without our written agreement. You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to your business communications, including email marketing laws such as CAN-SPAM.
Proposal links are secured with unique tokens and expiration. Signatures collected through JanBid are records of your client's acceptance of your proposal; the resulting agreement is between you and your client. JanBid is not a party to your contracts and is not responsible for their performance, enforceability, or payment.
Paid plans bill monthly or annually in advance through our payment processor. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future billing and your plan remains active through the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply at your next renewal. If a free tier is offered, its limits may change.
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create security risk, or fail to pay. On termination we will make your Customer Data available for export for 30 days, after which it may be deleted.
JanBid is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any proposal will be accepted or any bid won.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JanBid's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost contracts.
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the product at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Plain-language summary, not a substitute for the Terms above: you own your data, we will never use it to compete with you, the calculator is a tool you control, and your contracts with your clients are yours.
